[How To] use multiple user profiles in Google Chrome
Sometimes we need to keep the work and personal browsers different as we need to maintain the privacy between work things and personal things. Your home browser can be used by anyone who will log in to your system, so you must keep your work and personal browser different. In case you use Google Chrome, which is becoming the most popular browser these days and now you don’t want to switch to a different browser just because you can’t use the same work browser for personal use then I have got a solution to your problem. Today I will tell you how to how to use multiple profiles in Google Chrome so that you can configure it for Work as well as Personal use.
So, let’s start with the steps for configuring the Google chrome for multiple profiles. The first step to settings by clicking the 3 dots button on the right-hand corner of the browser as shown below. When you click on the button, Chrome will open settings page in a new window.
Settings are fairly divided into multiple categories based on the type. In the People Settings Category, Go to “Manage Other People” option. By Default, Chrome will always have one profile called “Person 1”.
Once you click on the “Manage Other People” option, A new pop up window will open, where you can add profiles in the Chrome browser. Now, click on “Add Person” to add new profiles. You can also use your Google, Yahoo and other accounts to have your data synced from chrome browser to your accounts. By doing so, you can have all your Passwords, Bookmarks, Auto Fill and other data saved automatically to your accounts and you can have the same data across all your devices using Chrome browser on which you have logged in to the same account.
After Creating the profiles, select one of them to use the profile in chrome. You can always see which profile you are using in chrome on the top right-side corner of the browser.
